Art history with kids: Ancient Egypt

It felt a little strange  “mummifying” a doll with my four year old the other day. Talking about tombs, embalming, hieroglyphics and the like, I began to imagine what she might tell her teacher the following day about the fun time she had with mommy turning Barbie into a mummy…

Anyway.

Introducing images and vocabulary to the youngsters starts to put the history of the world through art in view. 

Reinforcing the elements of art and principles of design through these projects will help our little artist gain confidence in her abilities.
