At least my little corner of it…in the spring…when it’s sunny. This month I travelled to my hometown.
Goal was to capture why the Midwestern town where I grew up is so great to come back to.

Well, some of why I love it here, in five photos.
1. There is always color. My little orchid here keeps blooming, just when I think it is dead, here she is.
2. There are, oh maybe, three hundred and sixty…two and a half days that you feel guilty if you are indoors too long.
3. I can grow my own pineapple.
4. There are interesting wild creatures everywhere. Not for everyone, but I love them.
5. This doesn’t get old.
I love the month of April. I love living in South Florida. This month I will capture why living here is so great.
1.text paintings-masking tape, acrylic. Fun to do with the kids.
2.coil pot-clothes line, embroidery floss. Takes longer than I thought, but love the function.
3.origami- definitely planning on perfecting my folding this year.
4.felt animal-felt, embroidery floss. This elephant is the only one worth a photo but the kids love them.
5.recycled containers-Washi paper tape, cardboard boxes. Great for the kids to tote around their collections in.
Moving right along, March is the month to make stuff.

Walking the walk. Long walks, short walks, just get out of the front (or back) door. Trying to keep it simple, and everyone happy..
Compact bag/purse, notebook, snacks, quarters to feed fish and goats, extra clothes/diapers, camera. Canon PowerShot SX500 IS.
Each month of 2014 I am going to use this space to focus on one thing at a time and practice taking photos.
